Explore your inner master chef

If you like cooking or baking, parental leave can be the perfect time to try out new dishes. Master Indian cuisine and then invite your friends for dinner. If your baby wants to be close all the time you should try putting your little one in the Najell WRAP and start preparing. Make sure there is no rush, then you take the fun out of it and the chance of making mistakes increases. You should, of course, make sure your baby is never close to a warm stove or oven.  

Put on some nice music and enjoy the process. It’s much more fun if you do it with a happy baby or a sleeping baby that is close to you, instead of trying to get something done with a crying baby lying on the floor. Or during the nap, that turns out to be 10 minutes instead of one hour as you planned. Then you should make something simple for dinner or order takeaway. But try the wrap first. 

Watch a Movie or play a video game

Exercise

If you recently gave birth, you might be both interested in getting back to exercising and feeling stronger. It’s recommended that you start slowly exercising the muscles that were “resting” or used differently during the pregnancy. This will help your body heal and be prepared for more intense exercises. Exercising is good for your mental wellbeing and can release stress and help prevent postnatal depression.


Of course, you can also do more boring tasks like folding the laundry and cleaning the house. It’s your choice. Do what makes you happy. Because if you haven’t heard it before, happy parents make better parents.
