Baby carrying jackets are expensive, and I appreciate that I could get this one on sale! I've been using it for just over a week now and there are some great things about this jacket and also room for improvement.
Good stuff — It is super warm! This is going to be great for when the winter weather gets cold in our city. The jacket is fairly unisex looking. I like that me and my partner can wear it and it works stylistically. Maybe the exaggerated puff sleeve and rounded hem is a bit more feminine but he doesn't mind. It is versatile and can be worn front carrying or back carrying.
Room for improvement — The tie/wrap style, while great for accommodating many sizes of people and babies, is very cumbersome when taking the jacket on and off. When I do daycare pick up, it's a struggle to manage the ties as they're so long. I would love a different way to secure the jacket that achieves the same end result. The sleeves are a bit too short. They work for me, because I'm short, but they look kind of silly on my partner. Wondering if this jacket should actually come in two sizes instead of just one, like XS-M and L-XXL? Just a thought! I wish the shoulders were a drop shoulder instead of the structured squared off shoulder. I think it would work better with people's different sized frames.
