Whenever you use the SleepCarrier as a babynest, lift, carrycot or carrier the draw strings must be tightened.

  The Najell SleepCarrier is one of the few safety-tested baby nests on the market. It has been tested and approved according to the following standards:

  • The European Standard for carry cots: EN-1466:2015

  • The European standard for mattresses for cots & cribs: EN-16890:2017

  • All fabrics are certified according to ÖKO-TEX® Standard 100, class 1 which is the best for your child.

  What’s new

  The Najell SleepCarrier Vol. 3 is more flexible than ever. It features a new board that gives the SleepCarrier stability while making it 265g lighter than the SleepCarrier Vol. 2. The breathable air mesh sides have been extended to surround all sides of the SleepCarrier. Including the head and feet. Air mesh is a unique material that babies can breathe through. This ensures the SleepCarrier is safe even if your baby’s face ends up against any side of the product. All SleepCarrier Vol. 3’s will come with the Najell handle strap holders. Making it even easier to attach and carry both handles together.

  As safe as ever

  The Najell Babynest SleepCarrier Vol. 3 has adjustable drawstrings that are designed to not loosen and get caught in your baby’s mouth. And they are short enough so that your baby cannot get caught in them. The mattress is comfortable for your baby to sleep on. But, for safety reasons, it's a firmer model. A firmer mattress reduces the risk of your baby burying their face or sinking too deeply into the mattress. When carrying your baby in the SleepCarrier, make sure the drawstrings are drawn to the maximum and are tucked into their safety loops, keeping them pointing away from the SleepCarrier. Also ensure you have a safe grip on both handles at all times. The babynest is made of fully breathable material, but we recommend only using the babynest under the supervision of a parent.

  Integrated harness

  With the integrated harness you can easily use your SleepCarrier Vol. 3 as a baby carrier. Perfect for those close moments or when you want to rock your baby to sleep. Make sure to use the harness the correct way and follow the instructions below.

  How to wear the harness

  The harness can be found inside the zipper pocket on one of the long sides of the SleepCarrier. Read the instructions below on how to use the harness.

  1. Start by making sure that the drawcords on the short sides are drawn to the maximum. To use the harness, pull it out and put it across your left shoulder. The harness should be worn like a cross body bag and the SleepCarrier should sit at the front of your body (see the image below for reference).

  2. Unfold the material over the shoulder for correct weight displacement.

  3. Fasten the large buckle on the front and the smaller buckle on the opposite side (on your left side close to your body).

  4. When the bigger buckle has been attached, pull the green safety loop over the top of the buckle so it sits on the material above the buckle. Do not carry using the harness without the green safety loop in place. See the image below for reference.

  5. Place one hand under the SleepCarrier to carry in a safe way and make sure to always have perfect supervision of your baby while carrying.

  WHAT IS THE BABYNEST SLEEPCARRIER?

  The SleepCarrier is a smarter babynest. It can be used as a sleeping environment throughout the first year. Use SleepCarrier for safer co-sleeping or in the baby’s bed, crib, in the pram or on the move.

  WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SLEEPCARRIER VOL. 2 & VOL. 3?

  FROM WHAT AGE CAN I USE THE SLEEPCARRIER?

  The SleepCarrier is designed to be used from day 1. Buy the SleepCarrier before the baby is born and keep it in your bed for a week. This will give the SleepCarrier your scent and help calm your baby from the very beginning.

  FOR HOW LONG CAN I USE THE SLEEPCARRIER?

  You can use the SleepCarrier throughout the baby’s first year, starting from day 1. However, when the baby is able to roll or sit up on its own, you should not use the SleepCarrier to carry the baby.

  DOES THE VOL. 3 COME WITH A NAJELL HANDLE STRAP HOLDER?

  Yes. All SleepCarrier Vol. 3’s come with a Najell Handle Strap Holder making it even easier to carry with the handles.

  DOES THE SLEEPCARRIER FIT IN MY PRAM?

  Yes, the SleepCarrier fits in all prams.

  DOES THE SLEEPCARRIER HAVE OTHER FUNCTIONS THAN A BABYNEST?

  Yes. The SleepCarrier functions as a babynest, carrycot, playmat and a baby carrier to help your baby sleep. The SleepCarrier is, first of all, a smart babynest. A familiar sleeping environment that you can carry with you. The safe handles on the sides make the SleepCarrier a carrycot. Additionally the SleepCarrier has an integrated harness, making it easy to carry the child and rock to sleep when they need to be close to you. If you wish to use the SleepCarrier as a play mat you simply loosen the draw strings and fold it out so it becomes flat. Perfect for practising tummy time. Do not carry with the SleepCarrier unless the drawstrings are completely tightened.

  IS THE SLEEPCARRIER SAFE?

  Yes, the SleepCarrier vol. 3 has a board that stabilises the SleepCarrier, making it safe to carry. The inner surrounding sides of the nest are composed of airmesh, a unique soft material that children can breathe through. The SleepCarrier has been safety tested according to carry cot standards and is a safe place for your child to sleep and be carried in. All fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, product class 1 certified, which is the best for your baby. The SleepCarrier is approved according to the European Safety standard EN 1466:2015. The standard tests safety aspects regarding children’s sleep and risks associated with carrying children in the product. Follow the user guide and user manual to make sure you are carrying in a correct and safe way. When using the SleepCarrier avoid having extra material that could block the baby’s airways.

  CAN I WASH THE SLEEPCARRIER?

  Yes. The SleepCarrier is machine washable at 40° C. Wash it separately and in a laundry bag to protect the buckles. Remember to remove the wooden board in the bottom before washing. Use a mild detergent without bleach. Do not tumble dry.

  WHAT SIZE IS THE SLEEPCARRIER?

  Depending on how tight you pull the drawstrings the SleepCarrier can have different measurements. The SleepCarrier has a stabilizing board that is 54×23 cm. These are the measurements that decide if the SleepCarrier fits as a carry cot in your pram: Smallest size as a babynest: 60×23 cm Largest size as a babynest: 80×27 cm Mattress/playmat (completely folded out): 106×64 cm. Stabilizing board: 54×23 cm. The SleepCarrier weighs 1,24 kg before the baby is added.
